aGain is a simple Psycle lua script that performs volume gain with increased resolution near 0dB.

It's configured to perform gain in a range from -96dB up to +96dB (I know: it's an atrocity!), but it's possible to change the range of dB by editing the script at your own.

aMono performs conversion from stereo input signal to mono with increased control over this process.

Classical stereo-to-mono converters just mixdown left & right channels to obtain a mono wave. But in this process out-of-phase data of left channel in relation to right channel is lost and it will not be listen. This script decodes internally the stereo signal in 2 signals that carry the central information and the stereo (side) information respectively. Then it's possible to set the polarity of side data where there's no cancellation.

Other features are the option to set the amount of side data that will be mixed with the central channel, and the option to set the amount of mono conversion that you need, from 0% (stereo output) up to 100% (full mono).

aMS is a Psycle lua script that encodes a stereo signal into a mid and/or a side signal. The mid signal is the component of a stereo wave that carries the central sound, while the side component has the information for the stereo amplitude. To that effect a mono waveform could be a stereo wave that doesn't carry any side information.

This script performs basic operations like mid/side volume gain, input channel swap and waveform flip to avoid signal cancellation. It outputs a stereo signal, or just the mid or the side components depending on your needs.

aMSeq is a specialized lua script that performs equalization separately on the mid and/or on the side components of a stereo waveform. It also allows the same basic operations of the aMS script plugin too.

Mid/side equalization give us more control over this task when there is a mix of different instruments playing at once. That's the reason why it's more useful on the mastering process. But you're free to use it wherever you want.

Mid/side compression improves the volume gain of our mixes letting us preserve their stereo amplitude due to an independent dynamics control of the central channel in relation to the side channel.
